Absolutely socially responsible good citizen.

Even took the trouble to record it and then offer that recording to the most politically acceptable left wing anti Tory paper.

How do you know the neighbor isn't known for being a nosey busy body? Are you suggesting neighbors should nip round every time they hear an argument between couples?

Or perhaps you favor a society where people can inform on neighbors they suspect of behaving badly, having the wrong opinions etc.?

All be better if the state monitor and control everything eh?

Yes, a bit like that society most of us are expat in right now you mean????

The knockabout stuff continues 555

Now the anarchists are demonstrating with big banners outside the flat

'Come on out Boris! We know you're hiding under your f***ing chaise longue.

‘We've had enough of old Etonians, f*** off!'

Even more knockabout stuff this morning, with a great tongue-in-cheek article:

“At her encouragement he lost weight, cut down on booze and meat and got a decent haircut. He's even taken up yoga, for goodness sake!

‘With largely positive results, she has also encouraged him to champion environmental issues, embrace feminist campaigns and distance himself from the unreconstructed Boris of old, who referred to women as 'fillies' and joked about how voting Tory would 'increase the size of your girlfriend's breasts'.”

However, “Some sources close to the Johnson family say the breakdown of his 25-year union has left him so deeply disturbed that he is 'all over the place' and 'psychologically unfit' to be in another long-term relationship, let alone be prime minister.”

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7173013/JANE-FRYER-asks-crumpled-unstatesmanlike-Boris-feeling-strain-bid-PM.html

Johnson likes to say: “Our policy is having our cake and eating it”. Maybe, just maybe he is about to learn the meaning of that old saying: “Be careful of what you wish for, because you may just get it.”

This comes as quite a relief to know that the nosey neighbours sole intention was the safety of Boris and his girlfriend. Although they and all their friends voted to remain within the EU I think one could be forgiven for thinking that their sole intention was to prevent Brexit. I just wonder if they and their friends had voted to leave, would that recording of the 'lovers tiff' ever have reached the offices of the Guardian, tricky one.

Wonder all you like.

The incident is news worthy, we all get an insight into the nefarious and judgement of the UK’s next PM.

How is that not a good thing?!

And all the right wing papers that have been pouring gallons of ink into efforts to change the narrative.

Like the ink in this sign on Boris's car, produced and placed by this very same pillar of the community living next door?

Anti-Boris posters around his and Carrie's neighbourhood are decorated with the EU flag and say: 'Weâd rather endure him as our neighbour than our Prime Minister'

I'm not at all sure that's Johnson's car, neither I doubt are you.

But if it is, perhaps the two penalty notices are an indication of his attitudes to the laws everyone else has to live by.

The penalty notices are, after all, the only indication in this photo of any law having been broken.

Sky reported from outside his home yesterday and said very clearly that it is his car & even spliced footage of him in it from several angles. A post to that effect yesterday received your customary emoji...

So it's true.

Johnson is wracking up penalty notices and leaving them on display for the  nation to understand he has little if any regard for the laws everyone lives by.

Not good optics evadgib, thanks for posting.

Food for thought for all Brexit threads:

Happy for this to be moved if there's a better place for it.

(Reminder to the usual culprits to address the Content rather than the Speaker or the person presenting it to the board)

Brexiteer discussion on this discussion forum has degenerated to posting secondhand memes and then demanding that others stick to discussing the memes.

You cut and paste and demand the rest of us comment.

Erm no thanks.

Did you think I hadn't noticed or that it made any difference to my point?

Erm no thanks.

It was nothing more than a tactful and somewhat tiresome request to stick to the forum rules we've all signed up to and are supposed to abide by.

You have my complete support and encouragement to stick to the forum rules.

I'm right alongside you on that one.

Seems like any excuse to smear to most of us level-headed people.

The person who reported this incident may well have had good / caring intentions, but the fact that they reported it to the Guardian (possibly maong other publications) and that they knew very well who the person next door was and the effect it could potentially have on their career - and couple these things with the fact that the person raising the alarm is reportedly a self confessed staunch remainer - and it then seems likely that it was intended to both smear BJ and earn the person in question a few quid. I wonder however, if the same person had lived next door to Corbyn, Clegg or Caroline Lucas whether they would have made the same call, or, just turned up their TV?

Also, suggesting that someone who has a domestic is incapable of performing stately duties or most other kind of duties for that matter, is ludicrous. Standards are well and good, but they should be achievable standards, and not allowing a potential future PM to raise their voice to their partner in the privacy of their own home is a ridiculously high one, moreover it's none of anyone's business, unless someone was injured in the 'incident' which was not the case. The police were happy to leave it alone on site, that should be enough to draw a line under it. Attempts to cultivate this non-story into something more are so transparently a smear tactic - something the neoliberal lefties specialise in after all. ????

There's a big difference between suggesting that a person who has a 'domestic' is unfit to perform stately duties and questioning the judgement and behaviour of a man who is on the cusp of becoming PM getting into a 'domestic' to which the Police are called - And yes I note the attempt the distract from the fact of Johnson's behaviour by blaming the person who  reported it.

However, there is no reasonable level-headed argument for not questioning the judgement and behaviour of Johnson wrt to this incident.

A handful of days to go to the PM job and he can't keep himself out of a 'domestic'.

It is entirely reasonable to question him on that level of poor judgement and ill advised behaviour.

You didn't present a point of your own, you posted an off topic 6 minute video.

The fact that Boris has maneuvered himself into this situation through his uncontrolled behavior shows that he is inappropriate as a PM. He should have anticipated what consequences would arise for him publicly. Before he positions himself as PM, he should first fix his private situation.

How do you know Boris "maneuvered himself into this situation" were you there? Could it have been his girlfriend that threw a strop or more likely the nasty left wing remainers who voted remain actually heard more than actually happened.

Could it be that remainers have nothing better to do than to crusify someone for allegedly spilling wine over some furniture (colour of wine and the value of the suite yet to be determined).

Could it be that remainers are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Luckely remainers havn't yet cottoned on to that Boris wore his socks inside out at a Tory hustings or he could have been named as public enemy number 1.
