Lazada Wallet no longer available to "foreigners"

Featured Replies

I am a frequent user of Lazada for those hard to find items in Thailand and, for the past year or so, have been using their wallet payment system. Today that came to an abrupt halt. Lazada wallet is now only available to people with a Thai ID card. This is something to do with a new anti fraud policy. Also if you do internet payments to them through your bank, not all banks are listed (Krungsri and Bankok Banks are missing). Payment on delivery is still OK and a few other methods seem to be available but what this boils down to is that foreigners are no longer allowed to defraud Lazada Wallet.

Not visa related moved to here.

Look here on the general forum and you will find other topics about Lazada Wallet.

No real drama I pay by card BKK still available. Plus cash on delivery another plus.

Bangkok Bank is not available now-not to me anyway.

Choosing this option brings up an extra security screen

They ask that I enter my passport number

They only accept numbers as per the Thai format.

Bangkok Bank not available on line.

So COD only. This I find inconvenient.

Wallet is not available-they tell me -due to regulations
