And still you fail to prove I said there would be no coup.

Look at you, trying to hide behind semantics.

By December 15th 2013 it was abundantly clear the wheels were in motion for a coup.

There was no other reason for the protesters to be on the streets bar a coup.

The amnesty bill was quashed, the government dissolved and fresh elections called.

Yet here you are......what coup, where is the coup, there is no coup.....

Look what was being reported on the exact day you were proclaiming no coup in site, just some good citizens exercising their democratic rights with no intention of strain outside the law.

Mr. Suthep then said that he had intended to meet with Gen. Thanasak and other military commanders because he wanted to inform them that the government of Prime Minister Yingluck has already lost its legitimacy, with the PCAD exercising the sovereign rights of the people.
The fastest way to end the crisis, Mr. Suthep told the forum, is to have PM Yingluck resign from her caretaker position, and hand the governmental power to the unelected ?People′s Council? whose members would be appointed by PCAD.
"In the past, with our nation in such a severe condition, the military would have launched a coup already," Mr. Suthep said, "I know the military leaders these days are modern soldiers. The people don't want the military to do that. But the military can decide on its own. They have duty to be responsible for Thailand".
He added, "I am not forcing anyone, but if the military makes up its mind quickly, they will be heroes of the people".

The point being made, is if by December 15th you didn't have the nous to identify the coup what on earth thinks your political judgement is any good now?

In your posts made on December 15th 2013.

The coup was in motion.....well and truly and you post no coup, no coup, no coup.

Why were you posting no coup?

Because you could see a coup was coming?

I think not.

It's akin to standing at the bottom of a mountain, seeing a massive wall of snow approaching, but brilliantly proclaiming there is no avalanche because the snow hasn't reached you yet.

Back to the topic at hand, I repeat, anyone incapable of seeing the coup by late December 2013, anyone who manages to misdiagnose over two months of Sutheps' mob as "people exercising their democratic right to protest" is not someones whose opinions about Thai politics holds any value whatsoever.

Thought you couldn’t.

Because I never said it.

Everything you post above is an attempt to deflect from the fact you made an inaccurate claim and cannot back it up.

Smoke and mirrors.

And that’s me being polite.

Incorrect again.

Your last half dozen or so posts half been a pathetic attempt to distance yourself from your 2013 garage.

Lets look how other posters responded to your nonsense back in 2013

M8 this movement was never hijacked it was always intended to be like this ... right from the very beginning. just like the airport sit ins etc its seizing power there is nothing democratic about it or wish to be or changes would have been made back then but they wernt of course. Wake up pal you have been completely blind sided, this was never about a just cause that is a total front, and the poor old taxi driver here and police being attacked by just as bad student thugs should make you realise you and many others got played by the pied piper..even while he was in the dems.

The coup that you can't see is completely obvious to some dude named Englishoak

That's right, you were "blindsided" and "played".

Hardly a record that qualifies you to be giving advice to anyone on this particular subject.

Oh, one thing is for sure, there was no hijacking involved. Indeed those protest were started with one goal, and that is to instigate a coup. Those protests were well financed and well organized.

It boggles the mind that some people refused or couldn't see it for what it really was.

The idiots supporting this nonsense were warned, be careful what you wish for, to deaf ears apparently....

Two outcomes to this with the same result. It will be quashed and he'll retain the leadership or it will be upheld and there will be a coup and he'll retain the leadership. It will be the former but don't rule out the latter in the future.
