Over a million fake weight loss pills seized in raid in Kalasin province

Police raided a mansion and two warehouses in Thailand’s northeastern province of Kalasin today and seized a huge number of fake weight loss pills, manufacturing and packaging equipment, chemicals and other materials.

Thailand lobbies for a seat on UNESCO-WHC as Kaeng Krachan listing hits snag

Thailand has been lobbying for support from 21 state parties, at the 43rd ordinary session of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) in Baku in the capital of Azerbaijan, for the Thai delegation to become a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the 2019-2023 term.

June’s Consumer Confidence Index lowest in 21 months

BANGKOK, 06 July 2019 (NNT) - The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Center of Economics and Business Forecasting predicts that the Consumer Confidence Index, which has dropped in the first half of this year, will pick up given the economic stimulus measures of the new government and the upward trend in farm goods prices.

DNP Deputy Director General: Thailand’s plan to cope with Health Risks among Humans and Animals

BANGKOK, 06 July 2019 (NNT) - Thai health authorities have been putting in place plans to cope with outbreaks of diseases that can affect humans, animals and wildlife in Thailand. The Deputy Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant (DNP) has confirmed that Thailand is already monitoring the risk of rabies and the current outbreak of African swine fever in some areas.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran on Sunday will announce an increase in uranium enrichment to 5%, a concentration above the limit set by its 2015 nuclear deal, an Iranian official told Reuters, in a move signalling a deepening challenge to escalating U.S. sanctions pressure.
