Popular Post Hal65
I ask because the roselle and pink guava ones said 100% though the rest was in thai. I'm referring to the juice machines found everywhere that look similar to these:
Popular Post RickG16
I'd be surprised if there is much resembling real fruit juice in these drinks.

elgenon
Also, did you know they add sugar to a fruit shake? You can usually tell them not to add sugar.
elgenon
I won't drink the orange "juice" provided by my hotel or at a restaurant with breakfast. Don't need the sugar.
fantom
Fruit juice is loaded with suger, for example a 350 portion of coca cola contains about 10 teaspoons of suger and a 350 portion of fresh squeezed apple juice about 9.8 teaspoons. Just because it is freshed squeezed juice does not mean it is magically free of suger C12 H22 O11. Plenty of references on the net. Important for those with diabetes etc. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/fruit-juice-is-just-as-bad-as-soda#section2

C. contains "natural sugars" A & B will be loaded up with "high Fructose corn syrup" disgusting stuff, not fit for human consumption, yet so much is loaded up with it, as folks like the sweet taste, even reconstituted "fresh" orange juice is loaded with it, you have to read the labels and understand them these days, so much utter crap added, easy to research, making sense of it all not so easy - but worth it if you value your health. owenm
Go to a stand that makes freshly squeezed juice and insist in no sugar, simple.. Those machines as others have stated are more likely cordial with maybe questionable water quality added. Most likely from a street water machine which is much cheaper than purchased bottle water.. Clean water, again you cannot see where it was sourced..
Hal65
I have filled 6 gallon jugs for years with street vending water machines for years so I hope and believe they are okay. 5 baht to refill wheras a 7/11 500ml bottle is 6 baht I try not to drink juices for the same reasons you guys mention. Usually at 7/11 it's a water with some bananas or salted peanuts for me. Sometimes a soy milk and even that has added sugar.
fantom
The point is is that freshly squeezed orange juice contain as much suger c12 h22 o11 as you find added to any of the artificial juices, reconstituted juices and rubbish like coca cola or fanta. Just because it is 'natural' does not alter the fact it is still suger.

No need for fruit in the diet at all its just a sugar blast high in carbs and bad for your health. Vitamin c is also in vegetables or in a daily pill. Chemically not much difference. Fructose is fruit sugar, only marginally different than sucrose as fructose is half glucose; same for lactose, milk sugar. Pretty much all plants store energy as some form of simple sugar. To the broader question: There are very few manufactured foods that aren't loaded with sugar. Mayonnaise is up to 26% sugar for instance. Virtually the entire world is addicted to concentrated sugar. Let the Eater Beware.
