Studying At Thai Universities

I was wondering if it is possible for a farang to study at a Thai university in a regular bachelor degree program (taught in Thai).

If a farang is admitted, are the fees different to those charged to a Thai?

(I have been learning Thai for 4 years and plan to study for another 2 before I would consider myself ready.)

Alternatively, does anyone know if there is any university in Thailand where you can do a bachelor of arts majoring in Thai language (as an international program)

Last choice would be a bachelor of arts (international program) in anything! The only thing that I have found is a bachelor of arts in English at Ramkhamhaeng University, which is a little far out of the city.

I am living in China at the moment, having been banished from Thailand (as a teacher) because I dropped out of my bachelor of MUSIC 10 years ago! :o

It's a pity that I am not interested in Mandarin, because the universities over here nearly all have bachelor programs for foreigners to study Chinese!

Thank you!

Chula teaches allows foreigners to study either in English or in Thai.

Each program has it's own rules for entry but first have a look here in English http://www.chula.ac.th/chula/en/future_student/index.html

and here in Thai: http://www.chula.ac.th/chula/th/main.html

They do have Thai language studies for Thai students so maybe you can get on that.

Payap University in Chiang Mai offers several degree programs that might be of interest to you; http://www.payap.ac.th (or http://www.payap.ac.th/english)

They allow foreigners to study in their Thai language degree programs, assuming a suitable level of Thai of course! The fees are a little more for non-Thai's, but there isn't that much in it.

If none of the Thai-language programs suit you, there are 4 international programs, but they aren't B.A. programs. Choices are Computer Information Systems, International Business Management, International Hospitality Management and English Communication.

From what I've seen this is not untypical with many universities offering places to non-Thais.
