Pattaya to hold hearing on Bali Hai Pier transport chaos

N3-Jul-11-08-Bali-Hai-public-transport.j

PATTAYA:--Pattaya will hold a public hearing to gather input on how best to solve conflicts between public-transport providers at Bali Hai Pier.

Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh met with tourism and city officials and the head of the Pattaya Baht Bus Cooperative July 11 to address complaints from tourists about chaos at the South Pattaya jetty.

Ronakit admitted officers assigned to regulate the pier area have been lax and that has led to complaints about public bus, van, baht bus, taxi, and motorcycle taxis chaos.

Ronakit suggested bringing all parties together to craft a new system for public transport at Bali Hai. (PCPR)

You want chaos ,come to beach rd at 0800, and watch this insanity...absolutely disgusting the diesel belching buses , the screeming thai tour groups, the smell of 2 stroke from the 100's of ideling boats....

not outside the Ambassador they're not.  If it moves, give it a 400 baht ticket; if it doesn't move, ticket it for illegal parking.

The Pattaya meaning of Highway robbery.  Soi 9 One Stop Mint is clearing over 12,000 baht an hour!  No wonder they don't close for lunch like the rest of Thailand.

The only way to stop anything in Thailand is to automate it out of peoples control and block roads off to through traffic

Anything that has a human connection is doomed to failure through greed......
