Will spend 1-2 nights in Surat Thani in a few days. Recommendations for QUIET place to stay (up to about B800 or less)? That is, no barking dogs nearby; no music from bars, etc. A bit of traffic noise OK. Near restaurants, etc. Thx.

I stayed here and I thought it was very nice and good value. You can book on all the usual hotel websites. Dont buy the breakfast though as it is very boring (toast and Nescafe) and overpriced at 50B.

I do have a car and the place is a short drive out of town, so maybe not suitable for you.
