Hello all, I received my non-immigrant b visa in the US before I arrived to Thailand. I am currently waiting for my work permit and teaching approval to be processed in Thailand which was completed by my international school employer. My non-b visa is set to expire August 20 and they said the work permit can take up to one month to process. Is there a way to extend my visa in the case that my work permit is not processed by my visa expiration date? I used a re-entry permit to visit Vietnam and upon my arrival I believed they stamped it for until September 7, but I am not entirely sure how this all works. Any advice on how to extend my visa if needed? (without my work permit)

Your visas expiration date (valid until date) is only the last day you can use the visa for entry. After you enter the country it means nothing.

You apparently have a permit to stay (admitted until date on entry stamp) until September 7th.

The only extension is you can apply for is one year and that requires a work permit plus supporting documents from your employer.
