River Taxi Along Chao Phraya

Featured Replies

May I know is there any taxi River along Chao Phraya that I can ride to enjoy the evening scenary of the river? Usually those river cruise that we book from tour agent is very expensive, so I would like to avoid them and perhaps I can go directly to the river side to catch a ride on a ny river boat, if any.

Thanks for any advise :o

Jump off the Skytrain at Sathorn Bridge (saphan taksin) stop, walk down the few steps to the river and there you can buy a ticket for 100 baht.

This ticket allows you to travel up and down the river all day as many stops as you like. You get a free tourist guide book and a commentary in English as you travel up and down the river. No need to get off if you do not want to, the boat will bring you back again.

Hope this helps.

When the tourist boat stops running at 15-30 hrs you can use the same ticket on public boats that run until 19-30 hrs without paying extra charges.

Maybe you want to travel up the river later in the day. In that case you will need to hire a boat that will cost more. (AFAIK)
