In Thailand there maybe more farangs in the news for these types of offense due to the way Thais do the reporting to sensationalize a story.

Pedophiles are not specific to any nationality.

I think in Asian culture, children about 12 years (reaching puberty) and over  but under 16 year of age are considered ‘legal’ with the consent of their parents regardless of the country’s law. This is more predominant in rural areas.

A friend of mine is 72 now and has a very good looking 22 year old daughter. Some people might believe that they're a couple.

Their own countries immigration should be checking them prior to departure.
