PHUKET:-- A foreign man who had his head stomped by a Bangla security guard while he was still on the ground during an fight early this morning will also be charged with fighting, the Patong Police Chief has confirmed to The Phuket News.

Verdict on Chiang Mai fatal crash deferred as additional Bt5m demanded

The Chiang Mai Provincial Court has postponed its ruling on a January 2 fatal crash to September 23 after the parents of one of the victims decided to become co-plaintiffs and demand compensation. The crash claimed the lives of 28-year-old TV host and stylist Jatupat “Centimetre” Khemnak and 30-year-old “Next to Normal” store manage Supakit Kerdsam.

Illegal loggers lay landmines to deter forest rangers in Si Sa Ket

Illegal loggers have resorted to the use of landmines to kill or maim forest rangers who try to interfere with their pursuit of the highly-prized Payoong, or Siamese Redwood trees in Thailand’s forest reserves, according to the public relations office of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation today.
