Hello everyone.  This is my first post.  I am looking forward to your informed opinion.

I will be flying into BKK on Dec. 1.  I have been reading the forums and getting bit anxious about immigration.

My background:

Canadian citizen (if it matters)

40-45 years old

1 VE visit for 18 days in November 2018

1 VE visit for 16 days in April 2019

I would like to stay in Thailand for 6-9 months.  It seems that METV would be the best option, which i can get from the Toronto consulate ahead of time.  Do you expect there would be any issue at BKK when I arrive with this based on my history, or the fact that it is a METV vs. a SETV?  I will have the necessary cash on me.

Are there any other supporting documents i should bring?

Thanks in advance.

With your history you should not need anything more than your passport and arrival card to enter the country.

It is good idea to have the equivalent of at least 20k baht in cash incase they ask to see it but it is unlikely the will ask.

I think you've missed out a "not".

If you want your skeptical side to feel at ease you could purchase a onward flight out (cheap one way to maylasia) for your first 60 day part of the METV.Another tip ,get a account at bookings dot com and book some holiday stays in Thailand that you can cancel after, just in case you have to prove your a tourist
