Car finance on retirement visa

Featured Replies

I'm returning to Thailand in September on a retirement visa and need a car but I cannot afford cash. When i was here last time i enquired with several dealers in the Buriram area regards finance but was told i needed to be working. Can anyone recommend a car company who will accept someone on a retirement visa or is anyone wanting to sell on a car they have on finance that I could take over payments.

Any other suggestions would be very helpful

Thanks to everyone in advance and Please PM me if you can help

My suggestion: buy a used car that matches your budget or wait till you saved enough for a new car.

You will NOT get a loan without any collateral (salary, condo, house etc).

Not trying to say you are wrong  but may I ask how you know this to be true? What dealerships or banks turned you down? Thanks.

I resuscitate this topic for a question of a friend of mine.

He finished to pay the car finance while he was employed with WP, then he lost his job but he could apply for a regular retirement visa, now the finance company said he can't own the car with his name on the blue book due to he has no WP.

It's true?

You'd have an amount in a bank right? Whatever the minimum amount is for a retirement visa right? Then ask your bank.
