Featured Replies

Hello,

Need to get my 90 day stamp and was thinking if i do need to infact leave thailand why not go do some gambling and enjoy myself with the wife..is this trip called visa border run or simply me just visiting cambodia? Does my thai wife need a visa to go with me? do i need to hire a visa company like jacks i was reading about? can't i just go spend 1-2 nights and come back and get my stamp without all this visa ect ect..this is my first stamp with my multi non o and not sure if i even need to leave thailand..its a multi on marriage..

someone who has spent time and went there gambling please post whats the best hotel to stay at and have you done the 2 day trip..if so how what bus station and comming back to thailand..

Thanks guys

Steven

helps if you say where in Thailand you are and which Cambodian border crossing you are planning to visit.

You are going to require a visa and to be stamped in and out of Cambodia. The stamp they put in your passport says it call - permitted to stay until xxx. After that date you are not allowed to be in Thailand. So you make a border run to leave/enter/exit/return to get a new stamp for another 90 days.

If you can meet the 40k per month family income you can avoid this and obtain a one year extension of stay from Immigration.

Not sure of what is required of a Thai for short visit but have heard there are long lines to queue in.

...will my wife need to do anything other then show her passport?

She needs only her passport. That's my experience in Aranya Prathet, PON NAM RON and an other place very near there.

Good luck in gambling :o .
