A group of Thais living in Melbourne came out to clean a roadside sign defaced by a person claiming to be a Bangkok University student or an alumnus.

A Facebook user, whose account name is May Natta Janjaratvong, posted on her wall late Tuesday night that she and her friends had travelled to the area to remove the handwritten message and drawing.

Natta learned of the defacing of the sign from a Twitter post from someone called Aenie.

Aenie posted a picture of the sign with a statement in Thai, reading “I am Won from Bangkok University”. The person also drew a picture of a male sex organ.

Aenie said the sign is in the heart of Melbourne at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Burke Street.

“Fortunately, it was written in Thai. Please leave space for other Thais to stand here,” Aenie posted.

Later on, Natta posted a picture of herself wiping off the writing. She said she and friends and could not stand seeing the defaced sign. adding that she was even more upset as she studied for a bachelor’s degree and master degree from Bangkok University.

“We don’t know who did it but we are Thais and we love Thailand so when we see what is not right, we must do something about it. Wipe it away,” Natta said in her post, which received over 4,800 reactions and was shared over 380 times.

That was because they caught him almost straight away and made him do it. Probably a Thai of Chinese heritage in Aussie land ????

That might be down to people identifying as individuals and not groups. I quite happily feel no responsibility for what people who share my race, sex and nationality, etc, do. I apply the same courtesy to others.

The sins of my father and all that.

How about finding Won and hanging him next to the sign by ballz. I think that'd send the message better. we aren't in Bangkok anymore, Won.

That is only for countries with 35 million tourists or over to keep things running efficiently, like the Thai police

Obviously not an arts student of Bangkok Uni and also unable to remember size perspective

Thank you. Melbourne welcomes Thais.  it was good that Thai's Living in Melbourne acted quickly to remove this graffiti. Sad that someone felt it necessary to vandalise public space.

Waiing and a few televised hail marys at the local nick should do it.

That's because Scouser Lee is a tosser who should have his <deleted> tossed into jail to think about his moronic uselessness and that he shouldn't be doing such nonsense. Why would I want to cover up for idiots that barely have more electricity running through them than a broccoli?

Looks  like a cock n bull story,

Doubt the viewer would be able to see the size of the MSO....

Apparently the wall was not a sacred heritage site..

He picked the wrong Melbourne St. Should have written it in Hosier Lane.Hosier-Lane-Street-Art-Melbourne-Graffiti-.jpg.cf.jpeg

Put the culprit in prison or deport him.

Point fingers at him.

Disgrace him on national TV.

Make the culprit wear a crash helmet and mask to hide their sorry identity.

Do to him the same Thai do to foreigners.

Make him loose Thai face!!!

But hang on, I forget the culprit is Thai and so cannot do wrong because the culprit is perfect Thai...

Given the fact he drew a picture of an erection, not sure this is the best choice of words.

Agreed Australia should treat Thais exactly how Thailand treats us ! Besides 90 day reporting and TM 30 what about 800000 in the bank or 65000 per month whilst in Australia ! Also banned from buying real estate in Australia and maybe the UK ,USA and the EU should do the same ! Just wait for the Thai rich elite 's response !

Unlike all of us here they are more likely than not citizens by now. Might need to revoke citizenship's and give them 11 month visas as well as a TM30 and 90 day reporting duty. After all, what is good for us is also good for them.
