Commerce attachés from 40 countries are visiting Songkhla’s Hat Yai district with the aim of providing business training to 300 local ventures to promote their export goods.

The trip, titled “Export Clinic 2019”, was organised by the Commerce Ministry’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). A similar event was held on August 30 in the Northeast province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

DITP’s deputy director-general Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengit said apart from sharing knowledge, the diplomats were also studying the rubber business and production in the southern province.

The department’s New Economy Academy held a seminar titled “Upgrading Food Processing Business to Overseas Trade” to provide training to food companies as part of the Songkhla trip.
