Video: Man weaving through traffic gets his just desserts

Thai caption: The end of the man weaving through traffic

A video of an accident on the Bangkok expressway last month is being widely commented upon.

It showed dash cam footage of an apparent minor collision between a Suzuki and a Mercedes.

The smaller car ends up hitting the side barrier flipping then righting itself. The Mercedes Benz drives off apparently suffering little damage, reported Sanook.

The Suzuki driver gets out as other traffic comes to a stop. He does not appear badly injured but his cheap car is wrecked.

The footage was posted on the accident site "Hear Khap Rot" and included footage from the Suzuki that was weaving in and out of traffic prior to the accident.

It has become known as "The end of the man weaving through traffic" clip.

Running from an accident, no matter how hi so you think you are should invalidate your insurance and driving license.

Dumbass

Beside the fact that it looked like they were both jockeying for position.

Very good of the Suzuki driver to provide clear video evidence of his own stupidity!

I KNOW I shouldn't take pleasure in this, but WAY TO GO KARMA!!!

No way a 1 ton Suzuki can match a 2 ton Mercedes SUV!

Quelled surprise. A young man.

It looks as if the Mercedes was driving in the left lane and the saucy Suzuki seemed to be whipping up the inside on the emergency lane.  I guess he learned a lesson.

What an odd comment.

Young <deleted> shouldn't be on the road.

This is the section of highway between On Nut & Pattanahkan.  Can get pretty crazy at times.

So; everyone who buys a Suzuki is a Cheap Charlie then.    Some of these so called 'Reporters' need a kick in the nuts !

See this bar stuards daily on expressway, nice to see one finally getting shafted.. amen. The main reason I dislike driving on that lane.

You can see in the second portion of the video the Suzuki drivers dash cam  shows the "usual" swerving from lane to lane trying to  beat/race everyone else on the road... bad driving.

Just another Thai driver who should never be allowed to sit in front of a wheel.

I'm always careful On the Nut!

i'm always careful everywhere. thailand is full of these nutters. undertaking sometimes takes one to meet an undertaker. this dbag was lucky. sadly, he'll be given more chances to possibly injure another motorist.

the blainress <deleted> jumped over into the OnRamp lane, that was already diminishing... and the Merc saw him coming!  The 'excuse for a" manoevre had the Merc stuck in between a rock and a hard place, his margins for error between him and the closing in on the preceding green taxi; meant it was either the Swift or some unseen traffic to his Right...  the Swift, being a known (smaller) quantity draw the short straw...

they'll both go down

the Swift(ly) beaten driver due to his own Crash Cam,

and the Merc(iless) somchai, for leaving the scene of an accident

They are both stupid

The Mercedes seemed to be speeding though so the small (probably underpowered) car had no chance to merge into the traffic lane normally but probably both drivers bear some responsibility.

yes, near the end, the video shows the Swift seemingly clearing the Merc at first, but the Merc seems to accelerate to prevent the swift from overtaking it.

But the Swift has nobody to blame except his own stupidity, I wouldn't assign more than 5% blame to the Merc driver.

I doubt I'LL live to the day to where a Thai driver learned a lesson.

"...the Merc seems to accelerate..."

The Merc's brake lights were on right up to the time that he did the runner, so how could he have been accelerating to prevent the Suzuki getting past?
