TM30 APP VS WEBSITE...

Featured Replies

HI ALL

anyone got any idea why the TM30 registration app will accept my guest registrations, but the TM30 registration website wont?

In the app I entered

PASSPORT NUMBER

NAME

NATIONALITY

GENDER

and its accepted immediately

however when I do the same on the website I get the following error (see attached pic)

is there EXTRA info you have to add into the website (additional to the above) - even though its not needed in the app?

There was a post several days ago that the Windows app and using Chrome and the English version of the app gives that error. The poster suggested to switch the app to Thai and input the data in the appropriate fields and it works. There is some issue with the app when translating it to English. I have had the same error on Windows and  used the Android app and it works. I have not tried the Windows version using Thai.

you must love the comment to use thai language

for MOST FARANGS that cannot not

type info blindly ?

I always use the web version; however, if I use Chrome I get the same error you reported. Safair, however, works just fine. I've never tried to figure out why Chrome won't work but Safari (on the same laptop) will. My guess is if you use a different browser it might work fine for you.

you've asked 2 questions in the same thread, should be 2 seperate threads

Yes had the same problem on website/chrome until my wife had a go and it accepted the data- she said it was because the system wouldn't accept dates less than one year apart on the valid to section? Think it needs a Thai to understand it. If you did the app before the website can see they might be mutually exclusive?

Really great to have website for foreigners and have it in Thai language. Yes originally it was made for local hotel and landlords but now the head of immigration said to use it ourselves.

Given that the popup looks like a JavaScript alert, implying that there is date validation happening in the JavaScript before the data is submitted to the server, and given that the problem appears to be related to dates, I would suspect that the programmers were not paying particular attention to the date parsing, which is complicated to say the least. It is possible that when the website is set to English, that the code parsing the dates is actually parsing the US mm/dd/yyyy format, as opposed to the Thai format of dd/mm/yyyy, which could be causing the date confusion.

The spreadsheet input option seems flawless for us so far, date goes in mmddyyyy, get parsed properly upon upload. You basically enter data once, then update the TM6, then upload. Rinse, repeat. Avoids errors entering names, dates, passport nos. visa type, entry point.

The mobile app is also a lot easier.

Many folks get this error message, which has been attributed to glitch, browser, data entry error.

Yes you would expect immigration personnel also to be fluent, one language they should never need dealing with foreigners is Thai! The big boss visited our club recently and needed a translator. Thankfully they have the young girl helpers who are usually good at English but often unsure of what they talk about.

Just fill the form in English then change the language back to Thai before submitting.

I found that if you use the popup calendars to enter dates the first date is entered as CE, and subsequent ones as BE.  This causes a validation error, and the first date needed to be changed to BE for things to go through.

No make a screenshot of the English screen and then you have a template of the fields to use when using the Thai screen
