The "northern leavers" is often used by this gov as a short cut  for the unwashed masses, but it's just an attempt to portray us northerners as all supporting leave - which we don't

Maybe you don't but the vast majority of us Northeners do.

Why isn't it called the no deal Brexit party , that would be the honest truth.

The No Deal Brexit Party isn't exactly a snappy name, is it? You weren't on the panel that chose the name "Change UK" by any chance were you?

Anyway, the Brexit party have made it abundantly clear that their policy is No Deal. I'm still waiting 2 years to see what Labour's policy is, the only one I am sure on is their tactic of negotiating a deal with the EU and then voting against the same deal that they negotiated. ????

Labour all over the place on Brexit. It wouldn't surprise me if Boris finds a way to get this done. Come an election, whenever that is, the Tories will win by a landslide. Labour can run away, but they can't hide forever.

Labour are all over the place over Brexit, very true, but do you think the Tories aren't?  I have never seen British politics in such a dire state.  All morality has completely disappeared and the country is being run by liars and charlatans.

Amazing what the ill conceived referendum has exposed.  Brit against Brit with vitriol that is unprecedented.

Well originally I am from the midlands so not really north or south.  Went to uni up north and then headed down south directly afterwards.  It is not really where you start out in life, it is where you end up.  At home we didn't have any money and a lot of sacrifices were made to get me to university. I never forget that and will always be eternally grateful.

Ah, the wonderful Express again, the "Newspaper" of first choice when you can't afford Andrex.

It may appear odd, but it accords with party policy, which is to offer a realistic alternative Brexit, or remain, in a referendum. No deal is disappearing of the table, and May's deal has flaws which the LP would wish to address if (Big if of course) they came to power. There is nothing at all strange about supporting Remain, but wishing to offer a sensible alternative. The alternative would have to be negotiated whatever you supported.

For those who see an ice cube from a glass of G & T and shout Iceberg. Usually the same reamainers who have been claiming the UK economy is in the gutter, saying it will be next week. the same rhetoric for 3 years.

So come on you reaminers, you have been lying for 3 years. The economy just like the 900,000 jobs that would be lost the day after the referendum result, its a lie.

I took it as a dig at the Guardian reading Champagne socialists who love the EU because it provides cheap labour for the menial jobs at the large corporation which pays them a 6 figure salary, and besides, none of the immigrants can afford to live within 20 square kms of their Hampstead townhouse anyway...

Townhouses is more Islington and other areas (usually associated with the Georgian era), Hampstead a different type of architecture. As for where immigrants live, I am guessing that that comment is coming from outside London.

Because, when the expression 'clean deal brexit' would become of common use, as they hope it will:

1. they would have succeeded in eliminating the negativity of 'no deal', rather associating themselves with the positivity of 'clean deal', being the good guys, progressively wiping away the truth of the facts in the populace's mind;

2. it would become 'normal' for them to call any, eventual (or attempt to reach such), negotiated deal, a 'dirty deal', degrading the supporters of it to a second category of despicable 'untermenschen', next to the 'traitors' / 'undemocratic remainers'.

(N.B.: there is into this not any parallel with the build-up of fascistoïd propaganda methods in the past)

interestingly enough the north of england is now more pro-remain the the south(outside of London). Only the midlands has a pro-brexit majority.

You would have to be some sort of idiot to believe that statement.

The typical Leaver response to polls which show that Remain is now more popular than Leave.

Yet polls showing the opposite are treated by you lot as Holy Writ!

There is only one poll which counts, and all of we British should be given the opportunity to participate in it and cast our votes in a final, legally binding referendum.

I'm not sure if Cummings, Johnson or Rees-Mogg read the Guardian, and whilst they all like champagne, I wouldn't call them socialist; but the rest of your description fits them very well.

Farage, too come to think of it.

Downing Street chief and former Vote Leave boss lives in luxurious £1.6 million townhouse with a ‘tapestry room’ – and his wife’s family owns a castle.

And your problem with that is what exactly?

The castle (which is not his anyway), or the fact that he lives in a £1.6 million townhouse, as do his neighbours all along the street.

What a forked tongue the man has.

Next he will definitely call for collective crying because of the heating costs.

Why would he be crying because of the heating costs in a castle that is not his?

A touch of jealousy from you perhaps?

Scrapping inheritance tax will be a great boon to those left behind ! But guess who it would benefit.....

Richard Tice:

Mr Tice is the co-founder of Leave.EU and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Leave Means Leave campaign. This businessman is the CEO of the asset management group Quidnet Capital LLP, which has over £500 million worth of property. Despite being a strong Brexiteer and critic of the current UK government, Mr Tice is a Conservative member and attempted to be the party’s nominee in the 2020 London Mayoral election, but failed to make the long-list. As well as Brexit, Mr Tice has also passionately campaigned for improvements on housing and education.

Maybe wise to use the same tactic as Nawalny advised his followers in Russia: smart voting. You want for sure a "REMAIN"? Vote for the only party, who will do its utmost for that: LibDem. With the British democratic system the one with the most votes per constituency get the seat, the others nothing, and with 50% +1 of the 650 seats, you have the government.

IF.. the French already 17 Oct do not make an end to all discussions.
