In general the grounds of an University are open to the public, you can just walk around. If a security should ask you just tell him that you want to have a look, he should let you in.

But you will probably not be allowed to enter a lecture room and listen to a lecture (this would be no problem in for example Germany, so it surprised me that this is not possible here)
