I realized that this forum could be referred to as social media in an abstract sense. But, at least there is some actual content here and some fairly articulate posts. 

It's the era of the attention ho. On positive note, I've noticed the post-millenial generation that is fullydigital native is far more savvy and conservative. I place great hopes on that generation.

 

Just noticed I got over 10k likes. What do I get, a free night in the monkey house and an article in Pattaya News? Nah, I think my moobs are too small.

The Mirror (and others) PAY for stories like these and the juicier the better. A lot of people try to pay for their vacations (or get out of paying for them) by making up some BS story and then shopping it around to the various rags.

She was denied entry into the country because she was using a damaged/altered passport - that she knew was damaged. Boo hoo.
She was detained (for a short period it seems) before being flown out again. Boo hoo.
She admitted she was coming here to work. As she seems clueless when it comes to travelling with a damaged passport I'd assume she is also clueless when it comes to things like Visas and Work Permits so she was probably going to be working illegally in the country. Boo hoo.

 

But she thinks her T&A means the rules don't apply to her. She thinks she's a star and everyone should be kissing her ass.

 

You can also tell it's probably a BS story by the fact she supposedly had her phone with her the whole time - but didn't post a single photo of the "filthy cell" and (or) the cockroaches.

(A major "tell" in all these stories are the lack of actual details or proof - because such things can be checked on and the truth found out. That is why they'd say things like "the hotel - but not actually name it - and no, they aren't doing that because they are afraid of Thailand's defamation laws - which they wouldn't have a clue about. They say something like "last summer" without actual dates. They'll say they ate somewhere but won't identify the actual place, or say "a beach" without actually naming the beach or where on it.)

The only thing that surprises me about this story was that there wasn't a "GoFundMe" link attached to it. Must be an amateur scammer.
