PM refuses to clarify the incomplete oath issue

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha left parliament before the end of the Opposition debate today, to attend a Royal religious ceremony at Dusit Palace, without responding to opposition MPs’ queries about his incomplete oath recital, claiming he has the right not to respond.

Before leaving parliament shortly before 4pm, the Prime Minister told the media that he had already assigned Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngarm to respond on his behalf.

He said he would not return to parliament today adding that, by the time the ceremony ends at about 9pm, the Opposition debate will have concluded.

I think you're right. If it was just a simple mistake, like a wrong word eg :

" I am fool" instead of "I am cool", people would be ok with that.

Seriously though, there's much more to this.

Comforting to know he is a religious man! No doubt he made merit and his sins were absolved at the ceremony!

If this so called democracy was effective, the opposition would be unrelenting in it's attack on this issue. Where are they?

Thailand has very little chance to progress. All the pieces are in place to drag it further into the abyss. It is actually a pathetic sight in its current form.

Nothing seems to have changed since the days of the junta. But no one would be surprised by that.

And he wonders why foreign investment is drying up and his ministers have to go out luring.

Someone ring the bell......it's closing time!

I'm fairly certain there's a lengthy queue for that already.

Kick his ass Colin ????

This has proven that he and his gang can do whatever they like. They are highly protected. They are untouchable. No laws - not even the highest in the land (the 'Constitution') - have any relevance for them. They are beyond all man-made law (even their own).

Now over to the sovereignty holders - the Thai people - for a mass righting of this wrong (don't hold your breath!) ...

what is sad is he says the incomplete oath to the King and refuses to clarify why and by leaving Parliament early even though he knew that the Parliamentary debate was scheduled, but still wears yellow supporting the Monarchy

"rioting"

"claiming he has the right not to respond." Yes but the country should have the right on having him immediately resign but that is not going to happen. Don't think for one second those armored vehicles they purchased are for any exterior threats, and the other underlying factor is he really probably loves prancing around as the untouchable big shot. Just look at his wife's face every time there is a function or trip.

It's up to the Thai people (have you got a few aeons to wait?).

THAT one thing for sure ain't going to change ...

One week ago the PM stated he would handle the debate in Parliament himself. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/pm-says-he-will-handle-the-oppositions-debate-himself/

Yesterday he totally changed tack and left it to the obnoxious Wissanu.

Prayut is not fit to be a politician, let alone PM, but this suits certain people so he won't be going anywhere, unfortunately

How dare people suggest the PM is incompetent.Keep talking like this and he will not write you anymore songs.Show respect to the appointed one.

Sounds like Britain.

An incomplete oath of office given to the King without apology, explanation, or doctor's note looks to me like contempt and therefore lese majeste.

Some are  given full exemption.....wonder  why?

he uses 'something' and that 'something' uses him

Yes.

Wars have rules

mud wrestling has rules

politicians have no rules

make there own to fit the large brown envelope

Pity his Father didn't use something

And they want to attract more foreign investment. By not swearing the oath, he doesn't have to abide by the constitution. And if he doesn't have to abide by the highest law of the land, what's to stop there being another Kingsgate scandal?
