Big decisions require big personalities. We don't want to be governed by a committee of chartered accountants. Right now we need someone who can cut through all the bickering and get something done.

this is how dictators come to power - create chaos in a country, set one faction off against another. Then only a strong man can sort it all out - oh look here I am!

You are the champ, Boris. They've got nothing if you stand firm. It's precisely for this that I wanted him to be PM. Standing up to the forces of darkness.

  • Bungle really should do the honorable thing and resign. He is a total disgrace.

But it is you that is pointing the finger, there is abuse coming from both sides of the house, but many remainers seem to suffer from one sided peripheral vision.

When the leading party is a minority, the opposition has the luxury of picking an opportune moment to call an election. If not, why wouldn't they call an election the first day that a minority government sits?

In this case, the opposition knows that Boris will lose a lot of goodwill if the oct 31 exit day comes and goes with no exit.

In any case, why are they obligated to call an election? They have 3 to 4 years to go after being elected by the people. Are you saying you want another election because you dont like the results of the last? Sound familiar?

Misleading the Queen? Prove it....Boris and his legal advisors are not stupid...until the exact wording of his request to HM can be analyzed, misleading is an inappropriate expression. The problem is that the UK has NO concrete written constitution, so our supreme court can have no fixed point of reference, and as they all seem to support remaining in the EUSSR then any judgment they offer will be affected by this attitude and their own interpretation of our so called constitution. Democracy is under threat in the UK, as is freedom of expression. I as a British citizen wish to governed by a parliament that I had a hand in electing ,under the existing 'first past the post' method of polling, I do not wish to lose my Nationality to a central bureaucratic unelected, unaccountable cabal of socialists and globalists, who will render our  Parliament/Monarchy redundant...a region of the EUSSR...soon to be come a Caliphate.

Nonsense. Read Lady Hale's judgement explanation.

The crucial point is that the government and their legal team did not offer any justification of why they prorogued parliament for an extraordinary amount of time of several weeks rather than the usual few days. Given the crucial issues in parliament it was therefore seen as a deliberate, which it was, attempt to block parliaments role as the sovereign body to which the executive is accountable.

They tried a shifty trick, which involved lying and got caught out, just like May had before them. Only they haven't got the ethics to apologize and continue the lie for political purposes.

Yep. And they use that to justify ignoring the law and acting unlawfully whilst lying when it suits. Now who could that be?

I was under the impression that the electorate elected the MPs to represent them, they appear to be doing anything but.

You are correct. But the winning MPs must represent all constituents - not just those that voted for them!

The referendum was about joining a COMMON MARKET not a European union.
See Treaty of Rome 1957. And by the way, Brexiteers had their counterparts in 1995. So the suggestion that it was one big family for you guys then a complete crock.

Maybe like the rest of us he is sick to death of all the insults the leavers have had to endure over the last 3 or 4 years, such as thick, stupid northerners, racists, uneducated morons, facists, hope the old die soon brigade. So whatever Boris has said, it would seem quite tame in comparison.

Watching the scenes from the Commons yesterday was a total embarrassment. For a Prime Minister to refuse to apologise for misleading the Queen and shutting down Parliament is a disgrace. He cannot stop much lower.

There is a clip where as he was leaving he was asked by the Speaker to stay as “it would be respectful to stay as it’s a point of order” and he just muttered a few words, shook his head and left.

Just about sums sums up where we are at. Shambolic

Only weak people apologise for something they are not guilty of. Who the hell do people think they are demanding an apology or resigning? Im so embarrassed at what society is now, a set of screaming harpies making demands that are simply not going to happen. We got this womens USA soccer captain demanding equal pay. Have you ever heard anything so absurd?? People need to chill out, especially the lib/left. Sometimes you cant have your way. You look more mature when you can accept these facts but alas, you continue to look infantile on a daily basis. Stop trying to halt Brexit and when we are done, the nasty right wing fascist uneducated nazis will go back to sleep again like we have been since the liar that is Blair took over and you can get back to being traitors on something else. 20 years we have watched you virtue signalling, making demands, rallying every day, screaming in peoples faces, attacks, throwing beverages at people. You really are the lowest.

This all stems from the Labour/Lib decision to stop discipline in homes and schools and now we see what we have reaped . . . . well done leftys, congratulations on causing more division than we have ever seen in our history, while all along you tell us you like diversity?? Then back that up with wanting  us all to be the same shade of brown under the EU umbrella haha how diverse of you. Your hypocrisy contradicts itself constantly. Im so glad I had parents that brought me up with the ability to be able to think for myself rather than be programmed by a TV channel

Unfortunately the way you have written this it sounds like you implying that you are one of "the nasty right wing fascist uneducated nazis" who "will go back to sleep again" when you are done. I won't attempt to argue with this self characterization.

"rather than be programmed by a TV channel",  maybe you were programmed by the Express instead.

I am in awe at the sophistication of your analysis.

Why have a GE just to suit Boris, who is now desperate for any way out of his self created mess. Much more enjoyable to watch him slowly turning on the spit. The sweet smell of roasting gammon is wafting all over the country, bringing deep joy to millions of people.

This is what I said before;- Boris Johnson unbelievably said that the best thing for Jo Cox was for us to get on and deliver Brexit.

Fortunately I have found this picture that illustrates my point perfectly.

Boris the Bold is right. The others are cowards and know he will defeat them. Now what?  hold an ELECTION you pathetic Opposition

He wasn't standing up to anyone. The Labour front bench took no part in the debate, they just sat in silence, not even looking at Johnson, whilst he made a fool of himself whilst playing the court jester to his base sat at home howling and jumping up and down in front of their TVs. I don't know who are the bigest idiots, him or his base.
