Pattaya: Prostitution finally found - foreign sex workers arrested

Prostitution has finally been found to be going on in Pattaya.

 

And congratulations to immigration police for finding it!

 

They discovered that seven foreigners were at it on Tuesday night. 

 

Naew Na described them as Street Walkers on Walking Street, the prostitutes not the raiding party. 

 

They said that this illegal activity was damaging Pattaya and Thailand's image. 

 

A team led by Chonburi immigration Pol Maj Jinda Khaekpanya arrested a 28 year old woman from Uganda and charged her with selling herself on the street.

 

She will be deported. 

 

Six others - four from Egypt and two from Uzbekistan - had their particulars taken down and were warned that selling themselves again would result in trouble. 

 

Raids several months back failed to find evidence of prostitution in Pattaya that the tourism authorities have tried to promote as a family friendly destination.

That'll teach foreigners for besmirching Pattaya's image.

No racist profiling there.  They tripped over 100 thai hookers to get to the black one.  But maybe they will get to them later? 

I don't understand why they publish such a ridiculous news. What is the point? Every bar in Thailand is a brothel. Most Farangs come to Thailand for the sole purpose of visting brothels where they can oogle young girls and a chance to get married to one of them. And they cant find sex workers. What a ridiculous thing to say.

Lucky the local police didn't accompany immigration, as there would have been numerous locals picked up too. Very selective racist targeting going on here, which to my mind is nastier for the image of the country, than the prostitution itself, which is after all, why many people come here.

They had to pass about 250 'massage parlours' to get there, but they were totally legit................

Gee, you mean all those black African females that hang out at that one bar on walking street are not just tourists?  As for the Russian Uzbekistani females, ship them all out of Thailand.   All are there on improper visas, many hand out fliers and work out of the russian clubs there.  They are some of the nastiest foul mouthed people I have ever seen.

A fair few foreign prostitutes in Pattaya still to sort out. I understand they come from Issan.

I can think of dozens in Pattaya alone that are not.

Uganda? Who would pay for that with so many Thailand ladies.

wow never knew these lyrics all i remembered was brown sugar... very odd song now to say the least...

Terrible , foreigners once again damaging image and reputation of Thailand , Thais have worked so hard to build a good and positive image but pesky foreigners constantly undermine it and damage it ????
