This was part of official US policy and done in agreement with the UN, EU, other european nations.

 

The investigation into the company was re opened and found nothing.

 

Trump, on the other hand pressured a foreign govt to investigate a political rival. Asking a foreign govt to interfere is illegal.

 

What he should have done is ask his own justice dept to investigate.

If you take the time to read the actual transcipt of the call, and not the Huffpost redactions, it is clear that Trump was not asking for a favor about the Bidens. He was talking about the Russia investigation. He wanted to get help on finding out how Russian hackers had breached the Democratic Party7s servers and accessed their files. Biden wasn't even mentioned until much later in the call.

 

But that won't stop the hysterical hyenas of the media from howling at the sky.

This is truly fascinating. In many countries, a leader who betrays his country on the level he has betrayed the US, with both the Russian meddling, and this phone call (and perhaps many others we do not know about) would be considered an act of treason, and the perpetrator would be tried, and put to death. Yet, somehow he comes out with the spy stuff. This kind of thing keeps his devotees energized, and many start to repeat the mantra, like parrots. He is a master at this kind of deception, manipulation, and deflection. So, my guess is that he is less dumb than he appears to be. He may actually have an IQ of 100 after all.

I understand where you are coming from on this.

 

Since I have found the block function, TV is a much better place. I enjoy commenting and discussing topics of this mature and others. But time has proved that no matter how patiently or how clear one concisely expresses a point, some people with an agenda will attempt railroad onto their own tangent and conspiracies. Then along comes the 'you said - no you said first' and all is lost. If I want that mindless discussion I will talk with my young niece and nephew about their school yard altercations.

 

But you know, this thread is much more rewarding with only posts from people who can intelligently construct a point of position or thought without making it personal or simple rhetoric. Maybe you chould try it the block function and let us know your thoughts. ????
