I want to send a set of golf clubs & bag I no longer use to a friend in Buriram for his son to use.  I have heard that Thai post accepts large items such as furniture.  Does anybody know if I could get the golf set wrapped and shipped at a regular post office? Weight is about 15kg.

Yes, you should have no problem at most Post Offices

They send motorcycles, so a Golf bag should be a breeze.

LogisPost up to 200 kg.

But from post office to post office, not delivered to home address.

(assuming things haven't changed since I last checked)

You thought of going into the local PO & asking ?

And have you considered that would entail transporting the cumbersome bag and clubs to the post office and if they did perhaps say "No", then having to transport same back to my abode, costing about B200 in Taxi fares?

One of the positive aspects of this forum is that the majority of TV members are usually more than willing to share knowledge and experience which, in this case gave me the answer I was looking for.
