Thai banks can meet new requirements for financial report

The Bank of Thailand is confident that commercial banks and private financial institutions can comply with the upcoming accounting rules on financial report, known as Thai Financial Reporting Standard (TFRS9), said Yuphin Ruangrit, the central bank's director of financial institutions business and accounting policy office.

BANGKOK (NNT) - Uncertainty remains in Thailand, whether or not to ban Paraquat, Glyphosate, and Chlorpyrifos which are used as pesticides, leading an ad-hoc committee on the regulation of chemical substances in the industrial sector to request clarification from related ministers. The Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives has responded by reaffirming his intention to ban these chemicals.
