May 20, 200323 yr According to the Thai Embassy in London... Foreigners who fall into any of the following categories are prohibited to enter the Kingdom......... (5) Having not yet been vaccinated against *smallpox* or inoculated or undergone any other medical treatment for protection against disease and having refused to have such vaccinations administered by the Immigration Doctor. The page then goes on to say... The examination and diagnosis of disease of a physical or mental nature, including *protective operations* as against disease, shall be conducted by the Immigration Doctor. Protective operations??? Smallpox has been completely irradicated (since 1949) and vaccinations are not available to general public in the UK - I know this because during the recent conflicts in the Gulf, Jack Straw advised all Brits to get innoculated against the disease, there was public outcry from doctors inundated with calls from the people requesting small pox vaccinations which arent available. http://www.thaiinuk.com/visa.html
