If such a protest had occurred on US soil, the military would have shut it down long before 4 months. No if's but's or maybe's!!!

This mess has to end, therefore if needed a big welcome to the Chinese anti-riots soldiers on the street of HK until madness its doomed. Agree 100%. The US wants this!!! Expat Brad
Hong Kong was part of Mainland China. The Chinese are smart cookies, the British Colonized it and established an economic hub. The Chinese then learned the tricks of the trade. Hong Kong was on loan only!!!
NokNokJoke
China doesn't need to do anything. The peaceful protestors are trying to invite violent responses to curry aid and sympathy from the west.Want to cripple china? Ignore the protestors. Let china deal with them heavy handedly. Clean the gene pool up a bit in HK to boot. China is happy for this to escalate you may even have agent provocateurs upping the ante with the violence and destruction of property. Soon they will go in and go in hard and do a Tiananmen Square and the rest of China will cheer it on and the world will do nothing. Meanwhile servile Thais crawl on their knees and just take it for they have never tasted the sweet taste of freedom. If China does send in soldiers to remove the rioters, then yes, this will be disastrous for China. Beijing knows this, and Beijing won't take the bait. They will simply sit back, wait, and watch the rioters burn Hong Kong. Hopefully, the vast bulk of the people in Hong Kong can see that burning down Hong Kong is not going to do Hong Kong any good. Burning down Hong Kong because Beijing won't let Hong Kong become independent, it's not a sensible thing to do.

The problem with US help is once they get it, they expect it to be forever. Why would US do that, unless they buy HK from China. Not a bad idea.
