Going to Brisbane Australia,money exchange

Featured Replies

Good morning,I  will fly to Australia for 2 weeks. Is it better to exchange THB to AUD  in Thailand or in Australia?Does Thai debit cards are accepted in Australia and are working at ATM's?

you are better off to change Thai baht into AUD here in Bangkok at any money changer or you can do at the airport.  If you change it in Australia you will receive a bad rate.

Most ATM's in Australia accept Thai debit cards with the Cirrus, Mastercard or Visa debit logo on them.

Thanks a lot well appreciated

definitely exchange here. I did this yesterday (AUD3k) and got a good rate.

As above, change Baht to AUD in Thailand. You will feel sore if you do it the other way round.

In Bangkok, Vasu and Super Rich exchanges tend to give the best rates.

Do not forget to take your passport when exchanging cash.

Yes, you will get a lot more didgeri-dollars if you change at a money exchanger in BKK. Many are around. The very best rates are near the head offices in Pratunam and at Vasu on lower Suk. Take your passport.
