In some species of venomous snake immature specimens are more deadly than adults, because they inject more copious amounts of venom when they bite.  Don't know if it's true of cobras, but it is apparently true of the fer-de-lance of Central America.

Baby rattle snakes much worse than when fully grown.

Snakes do not scare me, just give them some room. Beware of spiders ….. I have a friend, 2 metres tall and strong as an ox, bitten twice in last year by (probably) small yellow ones. In hospital each time with internal organ and nerve damage. Doctors warn next time might be his last …….

I'd have been upstairs like a shot, too.

I hate snakes - it's an irrational fear, not a worry of whether it's poisonous for example.

Poisonous or not, I don't want to get bite by any snake. I get 1 time in my home country and its not nice feeling haha.
