hi everybody,

has anyone a good tip of an travel agency to use for a visa run to the Cambodian Border from Bangkok...i tried 2 different this year and both where a piece of shit, the vans have been everything but vip, the promised movie was never shown, the lunch was a joke and on both occasions they picked me up late (first time 1 hour 30 minutes, second time almost 3 hours) which resulted in coming back home to bangkok around midnight...

maybe anyone has a favourite agent where the service is better then that...i would prefer one where the fee includes all the visa fees for cambodia as well, i paid 2000 Baht the last 2 times and that included cambodian visa fees and "lunch"...

thanks in advance...

Sounds like a good deal considering the Cambodia visa fee is 1000 B ?

yeah, sure, the price is ok...but not good enough to make up for the bad van and the poor food...i would not mind to pay 2500 at another agency if the van is really comfortable and not a toyota hiace that may have been used by the japanese to move troops to Kanchanaburi...;-)

what company did you use??? Name them and Shame them !

the last time i used NTSE Travel which used to be in the little soi off sukhumvit soi 4 just at swan's - i had their business card from last year...now they have changed their office to a small soi behind the woraburi inn...if you ever come across that name...run away....i can't remember the name of the first one though...

Don't go an a weekend, the waits at the border can be very long. The agencies I know about require reservations.

Does anyone know where in soi 12 this agency is? What's the name of this agency?

I just know about Jack's Golf in Soi 12 but they are doing the visarun by minibus. I think Angie was talking about the double decker bus. I will have to do the visarun tomorrow on saturday and I have to be back at 6pm to see the football match :o Hopefully this timetable is not too tough :D

sorry for the silly question (i've never done a 30 day visa run and probably never need to), but are these entire buses just for a 30 day visa run people? or are the other travelers on board as well. :o

Last time I went, there were a few shoppers on board.

There is a huge market on the Thai side nr the border.

Great place to buy a cheap golf umbrella in May / June :o

I did the trip on saturday wth Jack's Golf. We started from the 7-eleven at Soi 12 at 7 am. Their stuff is waiting there and collect the passports with your picture. Then you have a little croissant or cake and a can of coffee. The bus is really very good with lots of place, blanket for everybody and they showed 2 VCD movies on each way. After leaving everybody will be asked to pay the 2000 Baht including everything. The stuff fill out all the forms and you will only be asked to sign them during the trip. We arrived at 11:15 at the border and the passworts were given us back in order to leave the country through the thai immigration. As there were lots of people leaving the country this took us about 30 minutes. After that the passworts were collected again and we went to the casino for an intensive buffet. In the meantime the stuff took over the cambodian side and returned us the passports at 1 pm to enter thailand at the immigration again. As there were only few people at this early time of the day, we did this part within just 10 minutes. The way back to bangok was OK too and we arrived at 5:15 pm. The next time I will use this service again! :o
