That can just about sum up the residents. 4,000 people, a lot of whom appear to just dump waste on top of waste in the vain hope that someone else will clean it up. If you can see the rubbish is not collected how difficult can it be to take your bags a bit farther to a bin you know is regularly emptied, maybe on a soi nearer the town.... I went to my local harbour in Klong wan today, there was a big wedding there yesterday, this morning you could not see the land for waste paper tissue and other rubbish , even in the countryside by me rubbish dumped .... Off course the standard answer from Thais is the dirty Burmese drop /dump it. Like many things its an education thing BUT you would really imagine with this so called "Country pride Thailand is number one" thing they are indoctrinated into, they could harness it to do something about it, but probably no money in it Maybe it will be working in another generation in the cities, buthere in the sticks ....forget it!
