Industry Ministry upgrades services to entrepreneurs

The Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) will improve its services to Thai entrepreneurs by adopting Digital Single Form and Big Data systems with effect from January in line with the digital government policy, Tongchai Chawaritpichet, OIE’s director, revealed last week.

Seagulls are back to savour the warmth of Bangpu Recreation Centre

Chiang Mai subdistrict to release 8,600 lanterns during Yi Peng festival

The Choeng Doi subdistrict municipality in Chiang Mai province will continue to hold the Loy Krathong and Yi Peng lantern festival from November 10-12, as the area does not come under prohibited zones due to flight services, the top official for the area said.

Arrest warrants for officials suspected of evidence tampering in activist Billy’s disappearance

PHUKET: Police have arrested four suspects for operating a criminal child-exploitation operation in Phuket that forced children as young as 10 years old to work all night selling coconut water in bars and restaurants – or face being beaten.

THAILAND – November 11, 2019 - With over 7 million unique accommodations in 191 countries and regions, Airbnb promotes economic opportunity for hosts and the neighborhoods that welcome them, particularly local food establishments. According to new survey findings and an analysis of internal data released today, Airbnb’s guest community spent at least an estimated THB808 billion at restaurants and cafes in 2018* based on data for 46 countries and regions alone. If spending levels remain the same, Airbnb guests are estimated to spend over THB940 billion at restaurants and cafes in these same locations in 2019.
