November 12, 20196 yr I'm looking for a company for hosting of a website here in Thailand. My Thai friend wants to build a modest site to advertise their vacation rental property. Do the big ISP companies here such as TOT, 3BB,etc do hosting, free or otherwise? I'm open to any experiences or recommendations, cautions, etc. Also any suggestions on site building tools. I'm not looking for anything exotic, just basic text, photos, and contact functions. Tools could be in English or Thai language. Thanks in advance for any help.

At least it give names of companies, but not those that appear on best places on Goole... I am also looking for a very basic static hosting for a small site, and looks like many offers of shared hosting just below 100B/month. Now trying to find reviews on some of them... https://idcthailand.co.th/ https://www.aplushosting.asia/ https://www.21st-thailand.com/ etc... (Google: shared hosting Thailand)
November 12, 20196 yr I keep hearing ads for this company on Pattaya radio 103. https://freshdigital.co.th/en/

November 12, 20196 yr Besides hosting you need to register a name for your website too. Nothing is free btw.
November 12, 20196 yr You wont get much simpler than Wordpress, and you can get pre-done templates for estate agents etc just fill in the blanks !!
November 13, 20196 yr Seriously, just use any one of the major US based web hosts. Uptime and costs are FAR better, plus you can deal with support in English. I've deployed countless sites around Asia for more than 20 years and the local-oriented web hosters are always several steps behind their western counterparts, and that would be putting it diplomatically. If you think 100~200ms ping time from Thailand is too slow for your site, you can simply wrap your site using a free CDN like Cloudflare and now you effectively have a "local" host. If you're looking for a free webhost, locally, I wouldn't know of one, but wordpress.com is not only free, and the page building tools and templates in Wordpress are easy enough for even beginners to get a full site up and running in just a few hours.
November 15, 20196 yr Are you targeting mostly foreign customers ( outside of Thailand ) or locals ( inside Thailand ). That should play an important part in your decision. Servers hosted outside Thailand are generally a bit slower to access from within Thailand. Servers hosted within Thailand are generally a bit slower to access from outside of Thailand.
