teevee
We am currently having a problem with a purpose built LED RF Dimmer system (60 lights over 7 zones) which we now have to hook up to the building’s PLC control system and it appears the two are not compatible. We would like to retain the existing system and change out the dimmers if possible otherwise quickly build a new system. Anybody who can offer advice or practical help please feel free to contact me - a good earner is very likely for competent experienced help in Pattaya. tjo o tjim
Which PLC system and what type of dimmers? Is it really a (bare) PLC, or a modular building automation system? Most of the modern RF controls are difficult to integrate; 0-10V (from a 5-20mA signal) tends to be better. What minimum dimming level do you need; for 1% it seems like you get much better consistency from the proprietary control protocols, wireless or hard-wired. teevee
I wish I could answer the questions asked but don’t know enough about it to provide an intelligent answer. Like I said in my initial post, we need some expert help as e really need to get this issue sorted out.
tjo o tjim
You could try Ligman Lighting in Bangkok, although I don’t know much about their local controls capability. Maybe @Crossy can offer a contact for someone on the PLC side.
Crossy
Sadly I'm not in the PLC arena, my lighting "controls" are regular switches (and one dimmer) which I walk to when a change is required.
