Grab taxi payment via KPlus app

When using Grab taxis I notice the price quoted for using electric payment (using Grab Wallet) is a lot less than the cash equivalent fare so I'm quite interested to know if any TV members are using this method themselves and how you are getting along with it and the KPlus app that is required to enable it?  

I do online banking with KBank using my PC/Laptop but avoid using mobile phone apps (such as KPlus) to do banking so I'd be concerned if using this app opens up my savings account to potential misuse.
