What paperwork for marriage visa Jomtien ?

Thanks for any replies ,i have a list in Thai from the woman in charge at Jomtien,but as we all know its best to find out first hand from someone who has done it ,this is my first time ,always used retirement before 

the house is in my wifes name ,i have a yellow book,and we were married in UK but all that paperwork done and have kor ror 22

so would just like to know what they exactly require

yes i had read it before ,but wanted something a little more up to date ,going for my 90 day tomorrow ,will ask her again ,but she is a bit on the miserable side ,would like to know if we need to take a witness or have pics with one outside our house etc .i know the "rules" can change from day to day and officer to officer .????

A couple of things for Jomtien that are not on the official list. The photos cant be selfies, make sure there is no visible selfie stick/ arm in the photo. The map must be hand drawn, they wont take a google maps or copy.  Take chanote and blue book for property, not on the list but I was asked for it.

 

Usually the home visit is later the same day as you apply, (with 10 mins notice, lol) you will need a Thai with ID handy as the witness. Best to have condo office staff (or similar) as always available.

Photos are, you and wife outside house or condo block clearly showing name/ number, outside room if a condo showing room number, a photo at kitchen table together, on the lounge together etc. Witness is at home visit so have someone teed up who is always available, with their Thai ID and copy of their bluebook.

Yes, its something they dont tell you, you can literally get a call an hour after you leave the office. (my wife is convinced the short notice is to try and catch you out)

And it can be hard to find the witness in the middle of the day, and they will want ID and blue book copy from them (and they will take photos of you with them).

It really is best to pre arrange someone who is always available at short notice and has the ID,

My advice is there is always a paper they're asking for that you dont have dont get aggravated. Immigration has never visited my residence in 10 years of extensions. I let my wife do all the talking and i only sign papers.

You and me both ,my wife is quite articulate, so i just tend to let her get on with it ????

Mine was not the same day it was about 2wks later. witness required with their house book, 3 men arrived (plain clothed) took a few photos with me wife witness showing house number etc. none inside house this was back in April from Jomtien so may have altered since, their photos were in addition to the pictures you have taken yourself and presented at IO office!

You can do it up to 30 days early.

      2025: Sees Two Dead from Rabies After Failing to Seek Medical Treatment

      Picture from responders. The Department of Disease Control (DDC) has reported on 12 March, that there has been two deaths from rabies in Thailand so far this year. The fatalities, recorded in Chonburi and Si Sa Ket provinces, were linked to individuals who had been bitten by dogs but failed to seek medical attention and receive post-exposure vaccination. Dr Panumas Yanawetsakul, Director-General of the DDC, revealed that between 1 January and 9 March 2025, Thailand had recorded 54 rabies-infected animals from 835 tested samples, representing an infection rate of 6.47%. The highest rates of infection were found in Buriram, Khon Kaen, and Maha Sarakham provinces. Among infected animals, 75.93% were dogs, followed by cattle (16.66%) and cats (7.41%). In response, the Department of Livestock Development has issued temporary epidemic control zones under the Animal Epidemic Act 2015, aiming to contain the spread of rabies within 30 days and prevent further transmission. Dr Panumas reassured the public that rabies is preventable and urged people to follow the “Five Don’ts” to minimise risk: 1. Don’t tease – Avoid provoking dogs. 2. Don’t step on them – Be careful not to startle or step on animals. 3. Don’t break up fights – Do not separate fighting dogs with bare hands. 4. Don’t touch their food – Avoid handling a dog’s food while it is eating. 5. Don’t approach stray animals – Refrain from interacting with unfamiliar or stray animals. Additionally, individuals should avoid handling potentially infected animals and refrain from consuming products such as raw milk from infected livestock. What to Do If Bitten by an Animal The DDC strongly advises anyone bitten, scratched, or licked on an open wound by a dog or other animal to follow these steps immediately: 1. Wash the wound – Clean the area thoroughly with soap and water for 10–15 minutes. 2. Apply antiseptic – Use disinfectant or antiseptic to reduce the risk of infection. 3. Seek medical attention – Visit a doctor to assess the need for rabies vaccination. 4. Observe the animal – Keep the animal under observation for at least 10 days. If it dies, a rabies test should be conducted. Pet owners are reminded to vaccinate their dogs and cats against rabies every year. Regular vaccination helps maintain herd immunity and prevents outbreaks. Local authorities routinely conduct rabies vaccination campaigns, and residents can check with their local administrative offices for information on upcoming vaccination drives. -- 2025-03-13

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), in collaboration with the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), launched an investigation into fraudulent procurement practices within the Sports Division of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Following their inquiries, officials arrested seven suspects at the Sports Division office in Din Daeng, Bangkok, identified as: 1. Damrong – Arrested under Corruption and Misconduct Court Warrant No. J.19/2568 2. Phumin – Arrested under Warrant No. J.20/2568 3. Komkrit – Arrested under Warrant No. J.21/2568 4. Patinya – Arrested under Warrant No. J.22/2568 5. Sirikan – Arrested under Warrant No. J.25/2568 6. Apinan – Charged but not yet detained 7. Suchawadee – Charged but not yet detained They are accused of misconduct in public office, falsifying official documents, and engaging in corrupt practices, in violation of Sections 157 and 162(1)(4) of the Criminal Code, as well as Section 172 of the Organic Act on Anti-Corruption (2018), in conjunction with Section 83 of the Penal Code. The fraud was uncovered following an audit by the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), which detected irregularities in bus repair contracts for five 45-50 seat air-conditioned buses under the Sports Division’s administration. The investigation found that between 2022 and 2024, officials had falsely approved payments for repairs that never took place. Initially, auditors identified 11 instances of fraudulent claims, but further investigations by the PACC and BMA revealed 12 additional cases. The BMA then uncovered five more, bringing the total to 28 fraudulent transactions amounting to 2,790,748 baht. The scheme allegedly involved forging repair invoices, inflating costs, and submitting false documentation for approval. The seven accused officials were responsible for handling procurement, forging price quotes, and authorising the fake transactions. On 22 November 2024, the BMA filed an official complaint with the Anti-Corruption Division of the CIB, leading to arrest warrants being issued. On 12 March 2025, the seven suspects voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. They have been formally charged, and investigations are ongoing. During initial questioning, all suspects denied the allegations. Authorities are expected to conduct further inquiries and legal proceedings as they gather additional evidence. -- 2025-03-13
