When the world's foremost and most vocal climate activist wants to start putting people "against the wall", and says that to cheering crowds, you know the movement needs banning. Immediately. There is no place for double standards. If right leaning groups said they wanted to put liberal leaders "against the wall" they would all be arrested, banned from all social media etc etc. Just waiting for clarity when Greta and her handlers will be arrested for hate crimes? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7789463/Greta-Thunberg-arrives-Turin-Italy-star-turn-huge-climate-change-demonstration.html Seems if there is a dubious or inexcusable position on any topic, you find it. It also matters little whether you believe in God, or Gaia, or any such construct of Man. The fact is the planet has been happily revolving around the sun for a very long time - long before man or any other living creature lived on it. It will continue to revolve happily long after man or any living creature has ceased to live on it. Little blips in temperature, sea level, vulcanism, atmospheric gases, you name it - even though such blips can and have wiped out entire species, created and destroyed continents - the planet really does not care. So all you are really worried about is a small number of bipedal mammals who have been around for the blink of an eye, and won't last very much longer anyway. I do however agree that anything to make the end less unpleasant for them is a good idea. Am I a nihilist? You're certainly not a religious fanatic. 1

The most the brakes can do in such a situation do is stop the wheels turning. The problem has been swept under the carpet for way to long and we will all soon be faced with the consequences. Notice that they never apologise when called out on a personal untruth? I've called out some, but still waiting. I watched some of the "conference" on Al Jazira, and the woman in charge was looking quite downcast as she realised it wasn't going according to plan. It didn't look much like a conference as much as it looked like some sort of alternative lifestyle event. Seems like the real economies of the world have woken up and not going to toe the line anymore- well done them. I notice that apparently China and India didn't chime in, but could that be because none of the constraints apply to them anyway? 1
thaibeachlovers Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 PS, the vast majority of the participants FLEW in for the "conference". Such hypocrites.
Popular Post collingwood Posted December 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 15, 2019 Nothing more than a UN scam, they want more money to fly around the world in first class and stay at 5 star hotels, How does donated money to these crims change mother nature...it's called weather, which is a 27,000 celestial year cycle Only need to look at all thier previous doomsday predictions. 2 1 1

Popular Post sunnyboy2018 Posted December 16, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2019 According to the 'Independent' a UK newspaper this climate conference did make some good progress: "Diplomats managed to agree on some issues in the final sleep-deprived 48 hours, including an updated gender action plan that recognises the impact of climate change on human rights, historic and current gender inequalities and the importance of intersectionality." Gender inequality and intersectionality!!! Just bonkers! 1 4

Please provide links to incidents of where that has happened. It depends on whether you would regard deliberately equating climate skeptics to Holocaust deniers, as bullying and reviling. Perhaps you think that is an acceptable, even useful agit-prop tactic. Because that has been the favorite approach of the climate zealots going back many years. Quote "What is the difference between Lomborg’s view of humanity and Hitler's? ...If you were to accept Lomborg’s way of thinking, then maybe what Hitler did was the right thing." - Rajendra Pachauri, former head of the U.N. IPCC. "I do think it's often a mistake to call them climate skeptics. I think they're deniers, just as I think president Ahmadinejad of iran who claims not to believe that the Holocaust occurred." - Thomas Schelling, University of Maryland "Let's just say that global warming deniers are now on a par with Holocaust deniers." - Ellen Goodman, Boston Globe "Clouds of a different sort signal an environmental holocaust without precedent. Once again, world leaders waffle, hoping the danger will dissipate. Yet today the evidence is as clear as the sounds of glass shattering in Berlin." - Al Gore "We have Holocaust deniers; we have climate change deniers. And to be honest, I don’t think there’s a great deal of difference." - Bill McGuire, University College London "The deniers of climate change are cut from the same cloth as Holocaust deniers. They’ve never been to the death camps, Auschwitz and Birkenau, so what they haven’t seen does not exist." - Charles Larson, American University "Climate deniers are less immoral than Holocaust deniers, although they are undoubtedly more dangerous." - Clive Hamilton, Charles Sturt University And if words don't work ..... Quote "Surely it's time for climate-change deniers to have their opinions forcibly tattooed on their bodies." - Richard Glover, The Sydney Morning Herald. 1
