SidJames
Where can I buy fresh organic free range whole chickens around town? Tesco used to under the Betagro brand but now only sell boned pieces. I've had no luck at Big C, Foodland, Friendship or indeed the Betagro shop itself. thaibeachlovers
Only place I know for guaranteed organic free range would be in the village.

Unfortunately, much of what chickens might consume, cruising the village, might not be considered "organic" !
SidJames
With the amount of chicken being consumed around town then there must be some place that sells decent organic chicken...
gamesgplayemail
Free range chickens are the very skinny ones with nothing to eat on them ?
SidJames
If there are feed right then the modern breeds should be fine. Back in the day chickens were only eaten when the couldn't lay or had died. They were keep for their eggs as that was a constant, healthy & very efficient means of protein & vitamins. Killing a good hen was akin to killing the golden goose. I got 2 full betagro birds in Tesco Suk the other day & they were delicious. Shame that they had taken the giblets though. On occasion Big C does duck liver & I take the chance to knock up a batch of pate at pennies compared to packaged pates. It doesn't last long after I'd had a few scoops. Wasn't you I saw collecting livers and whatever in Tesco last week was it? I figured the falang was making pate!
