Popular Post webfact
Video: Plucky 7-Eleven staffer won't open the till - robber flees with nothing Thai caption: (He) didn't get a single baht. CCTV footage from a 7-Eleven store in Lampang in northern Thailand showed the moment when a robber armed with a knife entered and threatened a woman behind the counter. The man was a large guy in a turquoise hoodie and sunglasses. The sales lady told police that he rapped the knife on the counter and ordered her to hand over all the money. Then he went round to her side of the counter. As he did so two other sales ladies managed to vault to safety but she couldn't get away. She was again ordered to open the till but did not comply. She screamed instead. The man fled with nothing as other members of the public appeared to give chase. The robber got on a motorcycle ridden by a woman who had the engine running. Someone thought they saw the number "307" on the plate. Police are investigating after the incident at just before 8 pm on Monday night at the 7-Eleven branch near the Khelang Nakhon park in Muang district. That was a plucky thing to do, refusing to open the till. Screaming would I'm sure frighten off all thieves in this type of situation, as it instantly draws attention to what's happening. Popular Post HHTel
She is definitely not paid enough to 'be a hero'. I would hope the management recognise what she did and reward her accordingly. 2

I'm pretty sure that management would rather she open the till, and not want to encourage what she did by rewarding her.

Retail and hospitality workers are always trained to comply. Money is easy enough to replace. That girl certainly isn't being paid enough to risk her life for a few thousand baht belong to a massive corporation

mickey rat
That's because the 30 baht an hour cashier knew the money would have been deducted from her salary! As that's the way it works in CP Chicken land..???? 2
MarcB
Just wondering if it is really that hard to open the till by himself. Or even more difficult to take the cash stashed under the counter. Seems like a very cautioned plan, took weeks of preparation. Even had a visible license plate, and the jacket could also be tracked down easily on cctv Maybe an addict, seizing the moment without thinking ahead? Popular Post Ventenio
Let's say these are your odds: Don't help the robber with his/her demands.....die 2 out of 10 times Help as much as possible, do whatever....... die 0 out of 10 times You really want to roll the dice on your life and take a small chance you will die? 7-11 is worth 20934832094 trillion, it's not your dad's shop 2
