US Social Security COLA Adjustment Letter

Thanks for all of your replies to my question. I am in Chiang Mai and have my letter from last year, if they want to see it. I have about five years of deposits into BKK Bank from social security. Hopefully that will work. I didn't know there was an additional deposit statement now that BKK bank in Bangkok must generate. Gonna go talk to my branch manager today for info.

 

arrgh, now the USD/THB exchange rate is falling again, which could throw a wrench in the spokes. I hope the exchange doesn't fall too much more. 

oh well, life is good in Thailand and I feel lucky to live here.

My COLA adjustment letter came today.  Now I know how much should be deposited in my Bangkok Bank account tomorrow!  1.6% increase as advertised.

Finally got my letter today.

Money is tight this year, need that 1.6% COLA to get my retirement extension!

I still have not gotten my letter and now fear I may have to go thru the nightmare of requesting a copy to be sent.
