superal
I have noticed in the last couple of months that after a session on the laptop I have blurred vision . A search with Google said it was a common problem and a occupational hazard for office workers . Frequent breaks from the screen were recommended . However in my case the blurring has become constant with some days better than others . It also effects my t.v. viewing and I was thinking the t.v. reception was lousy until friends said it was a good picture . This led me to a hospital visit and I have an appointment with an eye specialist . The doctor I saw at the hospital thinks I have cataracts which will be confirmed by the eye doctor in 2 weeks time . Has any reader been through the same sort of experience as me and through to a procedure in Thailand ?
Thomas J
Get it checked out. Blurred vision is often an early sign of a stroke.
Popular Post Shot
I transcribe lots of stuff. I spend about 10 hours a day in front of a screen. I was having the same problem, until I started following the 222 rule. Every 20 minutes, focus on an object 20 feet away, for 20 seconds. For me, this was an instant fix. It's easy to lose time, so I set my phone to ring me every 20 minutes. Good luck.

My long sight has not been a problem but when reading I have had specs from the optician and also the cheapies for £1 a pair which are really magnifiers that worked well , however they no longer do anything worth while and as I write this I am not wearing specs . I will wait for the eye doctor to get his diagnosis . I read that an op for cataracts in the UK can take up to 5 months to see an eye doctor and another 5 months to wait for the first laser op on the first eye . Thailand op will be the way for me to go if that is what is needed .
Speedo1968
Fluorescent lights can cause eye tiredness, headaches and difficulty in seeing a screen not saying this can be what you are having. If I was ever having to type up my reports in a company office I had problems but at home, no. Had some special glasses made in UK opticians that worked wonders, including on long haul flights. Definitely need to check up with a GOOD opticians.
