GalaxyMan
Cat Stevens. What a phenomenal talent. Still sounds the same. Just amazing.

Really doesn't sound the same but rather like what it is, homage to youth from the aged. It's not bad; it's a reminder of some outstanding music; but it lacks the fire and confidence of the original. Makes me wonder whether he needs cash for something.

GalaxyMan
I am having a serious nostalgia breakdown today, especially about bass guitar. Here are a few awesome songs in their own rights, but the bass is what they're all about for me. Enjoy! ???? My personal bass god is Jaco Patorius. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uim0FMZvADk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmZoQFYYx8U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTOa8OYA2rA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00eN1t4iKCo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgP7kfIwlE8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0zaebtU-CA Edited July 3, 2020 by GalaxyMan
GalaxyMan
And then there are the Eagles. Here's one of Hotel California from the original band with Randy Meisner, then one 20 years later acoustic with Timothy B Schmit on the bass. I still think the Don Felder/Joe Walsh dueling lead is one of the finest pieces of guitar work I've ever heard.

Tippaporn
Sad to hear that Charlie Daniels passed this July 6th. He deserves a huge tribute. I did a lot of campin' and travelin' in the mid-70's and the Charlie Daniels Band along with Marshall Tucker, the Allman Bros., and many other southern rock greats served admirably as drivin' music while tearin' up so many miles upon miles of pavement. Another huge drivin' aide was some good smoke. Standard campin' gear included a multi purpose Frisbee with which to sort out the seeds. I'll miss him. The Tennessean Cumberland Mountain No. 9 off his '75 Saddle Tramp LP.
Tippaporn
Long Haired Country Boy off of his '74 Fire On The Mountain LP. This song pretty much sums up to a Tee how we approached life back then. We might have been degenerates in the eyes of many but we had strong and honorable values nonetheless.
Tippaporn
Also off of the '76 Saddle Tramp LP, It's My Life.
