I cannot get power on at all, no lights on, plugged in, battery was OK, but nothing. Pressed the ON button, nothing. Downloaded the Aspire 4930/4930G Series Service Guide http://tim.id.au/laptops/acer//aspire 4930 4930g.pdf and now asking for you assistance to power up this computer. Thanking you in advance Win ????
Somtamnication
Take the battery out and try ac only. Try another cable plug. If both don't work, then the system board may be fried. (No beeps or anything)?
longball53098
check the power adapter(transformer) is got the proper output to power the PC. I had a adapter fail recently and caused some very bizarre symptoms for the PC.

Kan Win
Hi Folks, Thank you for your replies. Did the power things mentioned without success. Maybe the Windows Vista which is built in has locked the laptop power since I tried to reinstall it and then screwed it up ????. Is there a reset button on this model to light things up ? Thanking you all once again. Win ????
