The Senate's duty is to decide. It is not their duty to remove him based on your or other's opinions or dislikes.

Its the senates duty to hold a trial. Alk trials have witnesses. The senate can decide what it wants. Its partisan.

But the public deserves to know and then they can decide if they agree.

  • And the Witch Hunt continues unabated.  Pretty sad...

  • Well of course there should be witnesses but I’m sure old Mitch McConnell will fight tooth and nail to prevent it because truth and facts are trumps worst enemies and the gop are wed to trumps fate

What you doggedly ignore, in a most spectacular fashion with your pursuit of non-fact based beliefs, is that this ‘witch hunt’ would have ended in weeks, if not days, had trump produced the documents,

And it also seems that the weight of public opinion may have some impact on Senator's behaviour. Quite interesting analysis here:

Everyone knows it’s just something the left will use to feed the press.

Or people just want to know if the president is criminal.

To show the voting public how corrupt senate republucans are.

Oh its also their sworn duty to do so.

Yes to everyone not on the left it’s just going to reinforce what we already know about the left.

I thought everyone already knew he was a criminal. Isn’t that what you keep saying?

How is the Senate (about half of whom are Democrats) not doing their constitutional duty?

The people already know that.

The question is whether he'll ever face consequences for that.

He's avoided that all his life so probably not.

Keep in mind this is Trump’s first impeachment.

Congress are still actively seeking access to evidence and witnesses that may well lead to a second impeachment.

They should rename the "House of Representatives" to the "House of Delusions and Impeachment". Or the "House of Trump Derangement Syndrome". Or "Pelosi's Psychotic Playground".

Historians will not remember this psychotic phase of the U.S. so-called "Representative" Republic under a Constitution favorably except as representative of the drug-addiction of many Americans.

So you dont think congress should do its vonstirutiinal duty to investigate. Got it.

Obstruction of justice is not a crime?

The Dems accuse of that, but others do not believe it happened. Crucially, those on the side of not believing it happened are the majority in the senate.

While it's a distraction from the work the government should be doing, it begs the question that if the house can waste so much time on something that is most like to fail in the senate, what are they supposed to actually do that is it is necessary to pay them so much to not do.

LOL. Now I know ( IMO ) what Nancy prays for every night before going to bed.

Except for one small factor, this is the first impeachment in the history of the country where no crime has been alleged.

Uh, yes there was a crime. Read this https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-51139939

I suggest people read this link carefully to see if the point here is supported. I didn't find that to be the case.

From the article you quoted:

"No penalties come with a violation of the ICA. Multiple presidents have been found by the GAO to have violated US laws."

And now they know: Aquitted an Not Guilty on both counts. The Constitution of the United States has spoken.

As the impeachment trial has ended with the acquittal of President Trump, please continue here:
