Some in the intel briefing also said there was no evidence.

Trump suddenly relies on intel he has called the deep state and should not be trusted.

Ample evidence for execution of Soleimani has existed for years.   No new evidence was needed. Soleimani spent over twenty years exporting state sponsored terrorism by direct action and by use of paid surrogates and proxies.  Soleimani was responsible for thousands of incidents of deaths, torture plus  incalculable destruction of homes industries and businesses best exemplified in Lebanon and Syria.  Soleimani was not a typical field general in a declared war. Soleimani was an exporter of death and destruction via proxies and surrogates all funded by Iran the State.  As, on the day of his death Soleimani went about Iran's neighbor countries (with his armed entourage of fighters) meeting and planning armed conflict. What Soleimani was doing on the day of his death does not matter for he had been delivering death and destruction on a daily basis since at least 1998.  Soleimani was an out and out International murderer and master of torture.  He deserved his fate that should have been delivered before 2010 not 2020

Even field Generals in a declared war are targets to be hit and removed - a long standing part of war. Generals are not off-limits.  Soleimani was an instrument of death and destruction directing proxies to take over Lebanon - destroying a large part of that country and killing thousands. He was a Terroristic General operating under no semblance of the rules of land Warfare. Soleimani was an interloping master terrorist.

Again. you could transpose the names "Soleimani" and "Iran" with "USA" and "CIA" in every instance however the major difference would be that the USA has been involved in far more instances of aggression, exploitation, tortue and murder and over a very much wider area.

The Israelis will have been tracking his movements for a long time, Im afraid it's time to pull out of all these countries let them fight amongst themselves same in Afghanistan let them kill each other,

Iran was working in cooperation with the Syrian government. You may not like the Syrian government, but the fact is Iran was cooperating with it. And it was the US and its allies who were supporting Sunni Islamist fundamentalists to overthrow the Assad government. And just because a general is killing thousands, that doesn't make him a terrorist. That's war.

Evidence? No. What they really shout is Hoo-ah! or "How do ye do!".

Hooah /ˈhɑː/ is a battle cry used by soldiers in the U.S. Army and airmen in the U.S. Air Force.[1]. Originally spelled "Hough", the battle cry was first used by members of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment during the Second Seminole War in 1841, after Seminole chief Coacoochee toasted officers of the regiment with a loud "Hough!", apparently a corruption of "How d'ye do!"[2]

That sound like the KKK. When will Trump designate them as home grown terrorist organization.

Yes I agree everybody go home and let them sort it out themselves.  However it is not quite so simple.

What some dont remember or refuse to understand is that the trouble in the middle east escalated immensely because of us, the colonial powers coming in and dividing the middle east according to how they wanted it and usually related to resources within the colonial powers could steal or stategic value.  This upset the natural balance.  A good example is Iraq.  Sure Iraq had its problems before but after the British divided it up and pronounced borders in their efforts to protect and procure its oil they did so with little regard for its peoples, its cultures and its religions.

The natural formed borders that kept all these different people in relative peace were smashed and everyone was expected to live and work within these British made borders peacefully and submissive.  In addition the colonial powers also supported a country's minorities to do all their dirty work, add to their armies and run the bureaucracy.  Sooner or later this unnatural balance collapses and especially after independence is granted.  The natural balance can sometimes take centuries to right itself again or as we saw with the slaughter in Rwanda it can happen almost over night with disastrous consequences.  In the meantime it sometimes requires a ruthless hand to lead, such as Saddam Hussein.  A very strong hand was certainly needed to keep the Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds living somewhat peacefully together in the same room.  Iraq was certainly a much more peaceful place before the US decided to "save" it and Afghanistan will one day re balance itself given the chance when the exploitation of its opium and its use as a transit for somebody else's oil pipelines has ended.

My point is that the majority of the problems in the middle east is caused by outsiders interfering and that interference is due one way or other to the oil/resources in the region plus the fear in the west that one day possibly the Shiites and Sunnis may find some way to get along together and then the west may get its payback.

What hahaha!  Its on your greenbacks, on nearly all symbols and signs, prayers are said before battles etc etc its as common as your flag in nearly every scene in your Hollywood propaganda movies.  Ok it might not be shouted in the heat of battle as is done by the muslims but as I said previous  same same but different!

If you truly believe America is at war with Iran then don’t bitch if Iran hits USA targets.

American troops have been involved in what the Iraqis consider terrorism on their shores for more than two decades. 9/11 was carried out by Saudis.

Saddam sent no prophet worshiping terrorists to your shores to bomb and kill anyone and neither has any other Iraqi leader done so either. Try and keep it real..

They say a million Iraqi people have died since 2003 because of US interference. (Albeit with a bit of help from other members of the coalition).

The IRA are the only Christian organisation we've been in conflict with in recent years.

Obviously you don't expect Islamic terrorists to chant about trusting God etc do you?

How about Trump stating that 4 US embassies will be attacked and the Secretary of Defence Mark Esper has no knowledge of that at all.

However tendentious and overwrought your characterization of Soleimani may be, I'm sure Isis agrees with you that his assassination was a good thing.. They must be thrilled that the Iraqi government now wants the US out of Iraq. They must be thrilled that US troops in Iraq will now have to contend with the open enmity of Iraqi militias bent on revenge. But it gets even better than that for them.. The US is now threatening to withhold Iraqi money if Iraq goes ahead and does officially ask them to leave. This is going to rile up the Iraqis even more. (This on top of Trump's repeated moronic statement that the US should keep the oil wells in Syria. He even suggested that they be given to Exxon.)

In death, Soleimani is an even more formidable foe than when he was alive.
