Sent from your Chinese made device? ???? Universities around the world wont. The Chinese are keeping them open. Particularly those overblown 'Ivy League' establishments. Only sinophobes such as yourself would be, and if I'm right, you're an immigrant in an Asian country. Sorry 'tourist' you don't get immigrant status. A sort of vagrant. That demonstrates a breathtaking level of hypocrisy born of ignorance.

Meanwhile the majority of the tariffs continue which have impacted US people is an estimated $560 average loss for the last year and $29 billion in farmer bankruptcies. The only thing "massive" about this interim deal is a theoretical big pile of beans ! "Made in China 2025" is what the US is really up against and basically powerless to prevent it. Correct and intuitive. It's nice to read someone who sees it for what it is. China might just slacken their grip on Donny's balls now.
EricTh
This deal has been good for the US dollar, it has gone up versus Thai baht these few days.

China just spent the last 18 months learning how to do without the US. The Chinese market is the biggest in the world. Think again about who needs who. 1.4bn plays 350m. There was a decision made when Xi came to power to move away from dependence on exports and move to the domestic market. They had already created a 650 million 'middle class' with plenty to spend at home. At the time it was 75% export 25% domestic in their economy. Now, seven years on it's 60% domestic and rising. Just take a look at the increase in Chinese tourists in Thailand for an example over the period. US exports represent only 11% of the remaining 40% export market now, overall not so significant. For reading, look up Li Keqiang (Chinese Prime Minister) - The new normal. It goes both ways. The Chinese economy is not fully developed, and they have a huge debt problem. China cannot exists on their own, and there are many questions on the future of other relationships, not just the USA. They have had impressive development, but if the the USA and the EU subsidized the same way, they would crush all other economies. If US companies can enter China with out being forced to join with a Chinese firm that will steal their IP and then compete against them this is YUGE! Well done Trump this is a massive and historical deal. Some estimates are this is going to add half a percent to the GDP others say more. There is enforcement built into this. China has come to the realization that Trump isn't going anywhere and if he did what follows would probably be even worse for them.. Hopefully the fed cuts rates and drops the dollar some more. Then the markets would explode upward. Dow at 29,000 and holding! Your phone can read to you now-you’ve missed some stuff
