Extremely high electricity bill for an Airbnb
My experience is roughly an old clunky ac unit will use about 1 unit an hour of electricity. I'm now in a coolish condo. I'm running one ac unit about 14 hours a day. 6 hrs living room, 8 hours bedroom. Bin is like b1400 (we rent condo but pay electric direct to mea) Imo it's perfectly fair to charge b7. You are not the owner, you are renting the condenser and receiver. Anything goes wrong it's not on you. As someone said before I think that the first picture was probably taking it some very early date. I do some simple math and see if it's even possible for the AC to run those kind of numbers. I'm doubting that and at that point I would either offer a calculated price. Take it to both Airbnb immediately and the police as well. Inform the owner that you are going to take it to the police and do so. The nice thing about this problem is that if those air conditioners are running at Max there is a maximum amount of electricity that you will consume. The calculation won't be precise but it won't be us $1,700 lol Is it possible that the air conditioners are too small in the room is too big so the AC is just constantly running? Are the units old? Abnb is always a total rip-off so I gotta say you deserve it. My NZ bnb experience was ok but two in US just hassles from owners. I loathe abnb and wish it bankruptcy and death. Hotels in Thailand so cheap, service oriented. Your loss. -

Why do so many posters continually diss other posters?
Trump just copy Russia, thailand, China And trow out ideas randomly and spontaneously even from watching movies, especially soap opera and fox debates. I have said several times, latest today, there is things I agree with Trump, it stops with how he adresse his messages, and how he execute the orders without the law and democratic tools helping him. His work is impulse and damaging to Usa, damaging relationships with allies. China have tradewar against Australia, and Norway was affected for years after giving Nobel Price to a Chineese dissident In 2010, China's response to the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo included diplomatic and economic sanctions against Norway. The Chinese government froze political and economic relations, imposed import restrictions on certain products like fish, and limited diplomatic interaction as a consequence of the prize, according to a study by the Chr. Michelsen Institute. Trumps impulsive acting The reporting is pretty clear: Trump doesn't read briefings, on politics or anything else. He doesn't appear to have absorbed the basics of public policy, whether on health care or national security or even issues, like trade, that he cares about. Instead, he seems to pick up fragments of information in conversation or, more often, from cable television. Often, it's partisan talking points, which isn't surprising since much of what airs on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC consists of partisan talking points https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2019-05-28/where-does-donald-trump-get-his-odd-ideas -

UN Warns of Escalating Climate Crisis with No Relief in Sight
ooops !! Previous studies have consistently shown a long-term trend of mass loss, particularly in West Antarctica and the Antarctic Peninsula, while glaciers in East Antarctica appeared relatively stable. However, a recent study led by Dr. Wang and Prof. Shen at Tongji University has found a surprising shift: between 2021 and 2023, the AIS experienced a record-breaking increase in overall mass. https://scitechdaily.com/antarcticas-astonishing-rebound-ice-sheet-grows-for-the-first-time-in-decades/ -

Report New Covid-19 Variant NB.1.8.1 Gains Ground in Thailand
Yeah, I agree. But that doesn't mean you let your guard down, especially if older and in one the more at risk groups. It's kinda asking for trouble when this thing is spreading so fast. Families with elders should be more careful too, not to get infected and bring it home. I think most Thais get that - it's why many wear masks on the skytrain, MRT, and occasionally in stores.
